Free Mindfulness Training with Cruzie Kelly
Redwing Collective has recently formed to nourish individual and community well-being while addressing the mental health equity gap. A regular mindfulness practice has been shown to enhance concentration, lower blood pressure, and improve sleep. It is used to treat chronic pain, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Redwing collective’s Free Mindfulness Training and Practice Sessions offer the opportunity to engage in the science of systematically training your mind. Training and practices are intended to include diverse content and could include discussion, contemplations on current events, presentations from guest speakers, embodiment and movement practices, film, poetry, or spontaneous song. The essence of this community is awareness, understanding, acceptance, harmony and love.
An on-line introductory course will be held every Thursday for four weeks beginning September 8. The one-hour course (8-9 pm EST) will be taught by Cruzie Kelly, an Afro-Latina certified mindfulness teacher who brings soulfulness into mindfulness. Cruzie is a retired park ranger who spends her time cultivating kindness and love in community while delivering free resources on brain health to unexposed communities.
