Chi-Do moving meditation
Moving meditation
Chi Do is a moving meditation practice created by Modern Mystery School founder Gudni Gudnason, designed to help practitioners tap into universal life force energy (chi) through gentle, flowing movements and mindful breathing. It is described as a simple, accessible system that combines the key foundational movements of various chi practices (such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong) into an easy-to-remember sequence to boost energy, reduce stress, and promote overall physical and emotional well-being. Key aspects of the practice include: Accessibility: It requires no prior experience, special equipment, or specific attire, making it suitable for all ages and physical abilities, with movements that can be modified for limitations. Structure: Sessions typically last 45 minutes and focus on harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit to cultivate vitality and relaxation. Instruction: Classes are led by certified Modern Mystery School Guides, such as Mary Schuft in Minneapolis-St. Paul, and are often offered in-person or via online guided sessions. Philosophy: The practice is rooted in the school’s teachings on harnessing chi energy, which Gudni Gudnason developed after studying and teaching various chi systems from a young age.
