Danzan Ryu Jujitsu is Japanese system of philosophy, combat and self-defense based a parent of many martial art disciplines, including Judo, Aikido, NinJitsu and several systems of Karate (e.g. Wado Ryu Karate).

Not sure that you are "martial arts material"?

This is a lifelong art, able to be practiced by any individual, regardless of size, age, or physical condition or handicap. Danzan Ryu develops skill and fluidity of movement. Unconcerned with scoring points or winning tournaments, Danzan Ryu is focused on enhancing natural ability and character.

This is not something you can learn by watching videos. Continued practice begets progress and you will begin to realize your "weaknesses" are actually unique abilities!

Danzan Ryu can be described as a "total system" incorporating every major aspect of hand-to-hand combat such as defense against blunt/edged weapons and firearms. A new student will start with joint locks and escapes while learning to move with efficiency. Higher level arts (devastating throws and bone breaks) are taught only when you and your training buddy can perform them safely. 

Danzan Ryu is also a whole-body system, including modern first aid, ancient resuscitation techniques, herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, breathwork, metaphysics and meditation. Esoteric principles, ki/chi, and kiai (projection of ki) are essential elements in advanced practice. The course of study also includes Japanese and Hawaiian language and culture, anatomy, physiology and psychology.

This introductory class will outline the curriculum in detail and the commitment involved.
