Synchronicity is not an easy word to spell; yet, it is one of my favorite words to pronounce! Even better—when Synchronicity unexpectedly happens, I always take notice. This is a reminder that I am “in the flow,” and that we are connected. I always honor these meaningful coincidences. For example, isn’t it amazing when the phone rings (or an email arrives) just seconds after thinking about that person? Or perhaps you see a red cardinal, or hear an owl hoot while pondering an important question? In fact, today—just minutes after editing the “Living In Synchronicity” article on page 23—my office telephone rang (out of the blue—during a cloudy sky) from an interested reader who passionately wants to help spread our magazine to new distribution points! Yes! We all can benefit—I am grateful!
More food for thought and practice: Learn why a growing number of Americans are moving away from meat and more toward plant-based foods, a development that comes with the promise of glowing health and expanding culinary horizons. You’ll find easy transitions here.
One morning, sixteen years ago (2004) looking at my standard breakfast of a bagel and coffee next to my office computer (without a morning meditation), I trusted my intuition and made a change. Off I went to a four-week, life-changing Raw Food retreat. Even today my diet is mostly “un-cooked” because so many nutrients disappear in the heating process. Further, author Will Tuttle’s The World Peace Diet inspired and still confirms my veg lifestyle makes sense to me. I highly recommend this book—no doubt it has been/still is a NY Times and worldwide bestseller.
Finally, circling back to Synchronistic moments: they come mostly in times of quiet. I also believe: “When the student is ready, the teacher will come.”
There are many teachers within these pages. You will find certain authors and/or practitioners who resonate with you. Trust your intuition—and reach out. I believe: you will be glad you did!
